The Fayette County Urban Renewal Authority has developed this sustainable community to improve the economy while preserving the environment.
The 1,000-acre tract land-use plan calls for the development of light industry sites, single-family home sites, town house units, a retirement community, a small retail center, an extreme sports training center, community and conference facilities, and the New River Birding & Nature Center.

The new Boy Scouts of America location, The Summit: Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve, is just nine miles south of Wolf Creek Park.

Drive into Wolf Creek Park on Nick Rahall Greenway.
Pass Bridge Brew Works, the steel building on the left.
Turn left down the graveled road to the New River Birding & Nature Center site.
